Wallets Africa, a cross-border payment platform, has returned ₦80,850 to Trustee Okorefe, a Delta State-based technician, after withholding it for close to two months.
Okorefe confirmed receipt of the refund to FIJ on Tuesday.
The technician excitedly said he first received a notification on October 16 that his wallet had been credited by the platform.
“I got the notification that my money had been refunded to my wallet on Sunday, October 16. I immediately went to my dashboard to confirm it and I saw my money there,” Okorefe said.
“Thank you so much FIJ for all the help so far. I am really grateful to the team.”
On September 29, FIJ had reported how the company continued to hold on to the technician’s money after he funded it so he could order items online.
